MKWD accepts project materials from City LGU

Materials for eight distribution lines and one rehabilitation project were turned-over by the Local Government Unit of Kidapawan City under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista to Metro Kidapawan Water District in separate on-site ceremonies.
Turn-over ceremonies held on November 27 and December 11, 2014 were mutually attended by representatives from the City Barangay Affairs Office, headed by Mr. Galen Rey T. Lonzaga, the MKWD, and the officials of concerned Barangays.
Said projects which were mostly requested by Barangay officials with Barangay Council resolutions were realized through the City LGU’s approval of Cost Recovery scheme for all the projects’ materials. Metro Kidapawan Water District will shoulder the labor component of the projects.
The distribution line projects which included installation of 50 mm Ø uPVC pipes in nine (9) Barangays of Kidapawan City have a total length of 9,662 linear meters.
These water pipelines can potentially serve almost six hundred service connections.
